Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use Asterisks Studio for a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it.

You must provide accurate account information, keep your login secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Asterisks Studio lets you import permitted content, generate and edit website files, publish websites, connect domains, receive contact-form enquiries, and collaborate with other users. Features may change as the product develops.

You are responsible for reviewing your website before publishing it, keeping appropriate copies of important content, and ensuring your use of the Services complies with applicable law.

Paid features are billed at the price and billing interval shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled unless checkout says otherwise.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are not refundable merely because you stop using the Services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Domain connections and DNS services may be supplied through third-party providers. You are responsible for registering and renewing any domain you connect, and for checking its spelling, registration details, renewal status, and suitability.

Domain fees charged by your registrar and other third-party charges are governed by that provider's terms and refund policies, except where the law requires otherwise.

You keep ownership of content you submit or create through Asterisks Studio. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, modify, display, publish, and transmit that content only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, and improve the Services.

You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed for content you upload, import, connect, or publish, including images, videos, copy, trademarks, personal information, and Instagram content. You are responsible for your published website and its legal notices.

Asterisks Studio uses AI services to generate and edit website content. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, similar to other content, or unsuitable for your purpose. You must review and approve output before relying on or publishing it.

Do not use AI features to submit confidential, highly sensitive, unlawful, or third-party content unless you have the right and a genuine need to process it.

You must not use the Services to:

• break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or facilitate fraud;
• publish malware, deceptive content, harassment, exploitation, or unlawful material;
• access accounts, systems, or data without permission;
• interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security or usage controls;
• resell or provide the Services in a misleading way; or
• use automated methods to abuse the Services or consume unreasonable resources.

The Services depend on third parties such as Google, Meta and Instagram, Anthropic, Stripe, Supabase, Cloudflare, GitHub, and Resend. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, outages, account decisions, or changes outside our reasonable control.

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Where reasonably practical, we will give notice of material changes that significantly affect paid use.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address security risks, non-payment, unlawful conduct, material breach of these Terms, or harm to Asterisks Studio, users, or third parties. We may terminate an account for serious or repeated breaches.

You may stop using Asterisks Studio at any time. Account closure does not automatically cancel unpaid obligations or reverse completed domain registrations. See our data-deletion steps for information about removing account data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that generated content will be accurate, that a domain will remain available, or that the Services will meet every requirement.

These disclaimers do not limit any guarantee, warranty, condition, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Asterisks Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the Services. Where liability can lawfully be limited, our total liability for claims relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid Asterisks Studio for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these Terms as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. If a material change affects an existing paid subscription, we may provide additional notice.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Courts located in Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere under applicable consumer law.
